Who am I?
The 2016-2017 school year is my fourteenth year of teaching in the District. In the Spring of 2003, I student taught at Study Middle School and was hired to teach Math for the following school year. I taught math for 3 years before switching to 6th Grade Reading. In 2007, I applied to become an eMINTS classroom within our District so my students would have more opportunity to prepare themselves for our high tech society. Thanks to the eMINTS program, the ratio of students to computers in my classroom was 2:1. During the 2013-14 school year, the faculty of Study Middle School began a new adventure in the newly remodeled middle school wing of Westport K-8. Last year, I extended my technology role to become a Blended Learning Mentor within our building. In this role, my class became 1:1, 1 student for every 1 Google Chromebook. I am excited to continue this role through this school year as Westport MS will implement SPS's Ignite Initiative.You can see what I am books I reading on Goodreads.
